Tools
find_gameLibrary Pass required
Find a game by title, edition, or alias. Reuse the returned game ID in later calls.
ask_questionLibrary Pass required
Get a ruling, explanation, and sources for any published game.
request_gameOAuth + Library Pass
Record a game request only after the user explicitly asks Magister to add it.
initiate_purchaseAccount optional
Create or reuse a Library Pass purchase attempt only after the user asks to buy. This does not charge the user.
complete_purchaseOAuth required
Charge a customer-approved Stripe Shared Payment Token for the exact offer returned by initiate_purchase.
check_purchaseAccount optional
Check payment status and link a completed hosted Checkout purchase to the matching verified Magister account.
Agent workflow
- Use find_game when the title or edition is uncertain. Keep its game_id for later calls.
- Use ask_question directly when the game is known and the user has a Library Pass.
- If a game requires a Library Pass, explain the one-time purchase. Do not start a purchase unless the user explicitly asks to buy.
- For hosted Checkout, preserve purchase_attempt_id. After payment, call check_purchase and connect the matching verified Magister account when requested.
- For an agent-wallet purchase, show the exact product, price, and currency before approval. The amount uses the currency's minor unit, such as cents for USD.
- If a purchase is pending or rate limited, wait retry_after_seconds before checking the same purchase_attempt_id again.
Access
MCP game search and questions require a Library Pass. Sample questions remain available on the Magister landing page.
A Library Pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks rules questions for every published game and lets you request games that are missing. Purchase availability inside an AI client depends on that client. The canonical endpoint can open Stripe Checkout when you explicitly ask to buy. Compatible agents can instead use a customer-approved Stripe Shared Payment Token without exposing card details to Magister.
